    Did you know?

    • This variety of Rhodonite is mined high in the central Andes, where Peru’s tectonic energy has been shaping stone and soul for eons. These ancient mountains rise from a cradle of volcanoes and glacial valleys - the perfect alchemy for stones forged under pressure.
    • Rhodonite is a manganese inosilicate that forms during regional metamorphism - when manganese-rich sediments are compressed and thermally altered deep within the Earth's crust. In Peru, volcanic activity and tectonic uplift supercharge this process. The rich rose-to-crimson colouring comes from manganese, while dark veining often results from oxidized manganese or associated iron minerals that formed as the stone cooled and fractured.
